CamSur, holds a special place in my heart, I have seen the once undiscovered impoverished province turn into a Premier Philippine Destination right before my very eyes, before all this buzz about CamSur it was known as Camarines Sur, one of the poorest and typhoon stricken province in the country before Gov. Lray and the rest of Camsur transformed it to what we know today, A Dynamic, Beautiful, Adventure haven.

Vigan Virgin

Being initiated into the UNESCO Heritage City that is Vigan, Ilocos Sur will draw out several different emotions all at the same time. Though it’s one hair away from overwhelming, it is most definitely a good thing.

I took the entire afternoon around Vigan. There is the obligatory stop at the Pagburnayan. If you want to see the entire process of making burnay jars or if you want to take matters into your own hands, quite literally because they’ll let you take a spin at it, then head for this little spot.

Being fully immersed in a street of drum thumping and whistle blowing takes the definition of fiesta to another level. The beat infiltrates my system through every orifice of my body. It overtakes all forms of muscular movement. Suddenly, my hip starts to sway followed by a bopping head. Before I could do anything about it, extremities are waving in the air and stomping on the pavement. With everybody else dancing on the street, who am I to do differently?
